Congratulations! | Graduation 2022

On Sunday, June 5, the Stratford Chefs School held its first Graduation Ceremony since 2019 at the Stratford Festival’s Paul D. Fleck Marquee. One of only a handful of culinary institutions successful at offering in-person, hands-on-learning during the global pandemic, we were thrilled to welcome back graduates from 2020, 2021, and 2022.
Executive Director Kim Cosgrove summed up the experience, stating:
It was such a pleasure to have been able to hold our Graduation Ceremony. COVID-19 brought numerous challenges to the functioning of the School. The process was incredibly challenging, but I am lucky to have a core team of staff who are invested, engaged, dedicated and dependable. Our newest Graduates dealt with the many pandemic challenges with flexibility, grace, and often a few tears. I am so immensely proud of all of them.“

After delays, lockdowns, and industry uncertainty, three classes of Stratford Chefs School graduates were recognized for their achievements. As diplomas and awards were presented, there were rounds of applause, warm embraces, a Marquee full of good cheer, a few tears, and a collective sigh of relief.
Touted as one of the top culinary schools in Canada, Stratford Chefs School offers a two year, 32-week Professional Program leading to candidacy for Red Seal certification. Open Kitchen classes are held for the public from April through October. For more programming information, visit www.stratfordchef.com.
