Celebrate your family’s traditions or experience new ones!

 

Winter is coming and so are the holidays! As the days grow shorter and we all seek out warmth and light, join us for a holiday party that highlights the Jewish Festival of Lights, Hanukkah! Whether you are celebrating your family’s long-held traditions or you want to join the fun and learn more about this festival’s customs, all are welcome!

Taste traditional Hanukkah foods like sfganiyot (jelly doughnuts) and potato latkes and watch how they are made. Participate in activities from cookie decorating, to playing dreidel, to lighting the menorah; there will be plenty of food and fun for everyone to enjoy!

Bring the family! Children 12 and under are FREE!

Your party hosts include Carrie Wreford (Bradshaws & Kitchen Detail) and Randi Rudner (SCS Program Manager and Core Instructor).

The party begins at 4:00pm and ends at 7:00pm. Come and go as you wish!

Food stations will be set up throughout 136 Ontario Street.

Cash bar. Non-alcoholic drinks available at no additional cost.

* All Open Kitchen classes purchased online or by credit card are subject to a 5% service fee. Our ticketing service hosted by universe.com includes this fee in the total listed price.

Summer 16 Week Diploma Course

Earn your Cookery Diploma this Summer!

 

 

 

 

You’ll learn the basics of classical cookery and pastry in five hands-on classes per week.

Cookery and pastry classes are coupled with theory classes in subjects related to the culinary and hospitality fields including: communications, writing, food costing, food history, sanitation, nutrition, wine and kitchen management.

The program runs from June 3 – September 20, 2019.

Successful students will graduate with a Cook: Basic – Level 1 Diploma.
