The Stratford Chefs School offers a 35-hour intensive ‘Preparatory Course’ for incoming students whose kitchen experience may be limited.
The Preparatory Course takes place during the weeks preceding the first day of school (usually late October), and covers basic techniques in cookery (knife skills, methods, pastry, pastas, sauces, etc.) that will prove useful to students who are applying to our program with little to no cooking experience.
Students who complete the Preparatory Course earn valuable knowledge and gain the confidence necessary to best prepare them for the beginning of classes.
Enrolment in the Preparatory Course is determined through the Admissions process – not all students who apply to our program are required to attend the Prep Course.
