Frank Parhizgar

Chef-Owner, FK (formerly Frank's Kitchen)

After a two year apprenticeship at a 2 Michelin Star restaurant in Lyons, France, Frank Parhizgar returned to Toronto and worked at some of the city's finest restaurants. He then completed a stage under the critically acclaimed chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten in New York City. Later, he served as Head Chef of Toronto institution, Centro for five years and then as Executive Chef to Marc Thuet.

Frank and his partner Shawn Cooper opened up Frank's Kitchen in 2010 and FK in 2018, both to critical acclaim. Frank has received his Sommelier Certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers. Most recently, he placed Silver for the Great Canadian Kitchen Party/Golden Plates and was one of an elite group of top chefs asked to participate in the esteemed Grand Cru Culinary Wine Festival.

Frank's Kitchen and FK have been lauded by highly regarded Toronto food critics including James Chatto, Amy Pataki and Joanne Kates.
