Our culinary program is a uniquely industry-driven 32 week Diploma program coupled with an Apprenticeship. The program provides students with a thorough grounding in the theory and practice of classical cuisines, as well as the business knowledge for operating successful restaurants in today’s market.
Stratford Chefs School immerses students in hands-on culinary training with acclaimed chefs. Practical courses build real-world culinary skills to succeed as chefs and hospitality entrepreneurs. Graduates have a well-rounded foundation for a range of culinary careers and are prepared to take their Red Seal certification.
The mix of practical and theory courses exposes students to all aspects of cuisine and facilitates the student’s development into a skilled and thoughtful chef.

Open Kitchen Explorer is an intensive five day sneak peek of the Stratford Chefs School’s full time professional culinary program, and offered every March. This hands-on intensive course is perfect for experienced home cooks looking to hone their skills, or for anyone interested in examining a future career in the culinary industry.
Learn foundational cooking methods as taught in our Professional Program. This is your opportunity to explore cooking techniques through a series of twelve 4-hour hands-on Sunday daytime classes. These intensive workshops are perfect for the advanced home cook looking to learn the theory and science of food, as well as hone their dinner party skills! Offered every October.
A variety of hands-on, recreational cooking classes are offered to the public from mid-March through early October with Chef Instructor Eli Silverthorne.
